Characteristics

BTK 32® is a new-generation biological insecticide, active by ingestion against the larval stages of the lepidopterans of greatest relevance to agriculture, forestry and civil applications. BTK 32® exerts its effect through the action of crystal proteins (prototoxins) contained in the spore of the microorganism. This toxin produces a series of alterations which cause paralysis of the intestines and the muscles of the digestive system, so that the insect is no longer able to feed. Death occurs in a period ranging from a few hours to 3-5 days, due to a combination of factors (septicaemia, starvation and tissue damage).

Interactions

BTK 32® is compatible with the majority of insecticides, acaricides, leaf fertilizers and adhesive agents.

Method of application

Apply the product as soon as the larvae appear. Treatments should preferably be carried out in late afternoon, to minimise the negative effects of ventilation and UV rays. It is recommended to repeat the treatment a second time 7-14 days after the first application, depending on the level of the infestation.
