Biological adjuvant

Composition

  • Pure Pyrethrins 4 g (= 40.4 g/l)
  • Pure Piperonyl Butoxide 13.6 g(= 137 g/l)
  • Coformulants q.s. to 100 g

Characteristics

PIRET contains pyrethrins, natural insecticides obtained from the dried and powdered flower-heads of certain species belonging to the genera Chrysanthemum (Composite family). The species which has the highest concentration of pyrethrins is Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium, a plant grown in various countries of Asia and Africa. Pyrethrins are esters formed from a reaction between an acid and an alcohol.

PIRET is active primarily by contact, through a neurotoxic effect on the central nervous system of the target insect, which it penetrates through the less-protected areas situated generally around the head, antennae and legs.

PIRET is an insecticide with high killing power and residual activity lasting 3-5 days, thanks to its association with synergists and antioxidants such as piperonyl butoxide, which exert a protective action that enhances the activity and prolongs the efficacy of the insecticide.

PIRET is an insecticide suitable for use on the crops listed below, in any season and up until 2 days prior to product harvest or marketing, as part of an organic farming or integrated crop protection strategy.

Method od Application and amounts.

It is recommended to perform the treatment toward the evening, under conditions of low light and moderate temperature, paying particular attention to the wetting of the leaves.
